THE STORY BEHIND THE BRAND
Founder Jonathan Levine was first drawn to headphones after building a recording studio in his office to support his shared passion with his music-mad son, Robert, an emerging DJ/music producer. Jonathan, a serial consumer products entrepreneur, envisioned headphones with both premium sound quality and elevated design that his son could use. While touring colleges, they came across a pair of WWII aviator headphones in a museum and could not help but notice how elegant and timeless the headphones looked. In that moment, Jonathan decided he wanted to design and build headphones that in 50 years would also stand the test of time.

Our Passion for Arts Education
Master & Dynamic is proud to invest in the next generation of creatives.
Art and music are essential parts of every student’s education. Arts programming teaches students how to articulate their ideas in a communicable form, while cultivating a creativity that can be employed in any area they pursue.
Since 2014, we’ve partnered with Harlem Village Academies (“HVA”) High, a public charter school in Harlem and part of the five-school HVA network, to support their arts and music programs. Our contributions established HVA High’s foundational art program, offering 2D and 3D art classes in the high school, and our headphones allow students to do greater independent and small group work in their music classes.
We also support the Center for Arts Education (“CAE”), whose mission is providing arts instruction to every NYC public school student. Through our giving, we are committed to supporting the exploration, learning and development of HVA’s and CAE’s students, as well as the wider creative community. Read more about HVA and CAE.
